Handy Farm Shop aims to connect producers with consumers in an effective and cost effective way.

Traditional routes to market have shortcomings:
Farmers' Markets are very effective but only allow produce to be sold irregularly, sometimes only once a month. Also, most require the producer to be present on the stall so they are a drain on the resources of the smallholder.
Farm Shops can be very effective if the smallholding is on a major thoroughfare. Unfortunately most producers are located in inaccessible locations, or where they are on a major thoroughfare access is often an issue.
Websites allow sales to be made to customers in any part of the country. The main problem with this type of selling is the large cost of packaging (to ensure produce remains cold during transport) and delivery costs. Also, many people are not confident about making payments on-line.

Handy Farm Shop allows your produce to be ordered on-line and collected at a handy, town centre location, without the hassle of creating and maintaining an e-commerce website, and without costly packaging and delivery. Customers pay on collection, so do not have the worry of making payments on-line.
